Std X- NTSE Exam ! All the Best and Good Luck !

National Talent Search Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT started in the year 1963. The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national level scholarship program (Exam).  It is organized by an official institution of India – NCERT. It is organized to identify Talent and nurturing them for the betterment of the nation. The qualified students (Indian Only) are facilitated by financial assistance by the institution whereas it is been provided in the form of a monthly scholarship for an entire academic career. The NTSE scholar is always recognized as an extra ordinary student because the NTSE is itself widely regarded as the most prestigious examination at high school level in India. The eligibility for the examination is class X appearing student.

Scholarships: On the basis of the National Talent Search Examination, 1000 scholarships will be awarded. The amount of scholarship will be as under:

(a) Scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month for Class-XI to XII.

(b) Scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates.

(c) Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

Cut-off of NTSE Stage 1 Exam(2014)  is 114 Marks for General/OBC Category.

CBSE has decided to do away with the conduct of PSA (Problem Solving Assessment) for Classes IX and XI from the Session 2015-16.

Over 50% IITians’ moms are graduates, help shape child’s future

The tech schools have never before given out information on mothers of the candidates they picked. But this time, they have released data that shows most mums are at least graduates and largely homemakers. Of the 9,974 students who have gone on to join the IITs, the mothers of around 2,250 are postgraduates; another 3,200 are graduates (in all over 50%). As many as 6,690 of women in the sample are stay-at-home moms. Most are financially dependent with an annual income of less than Rs 1 lakh.

Maharashtra ranks third in No. of IITians this year

According to latest report of Times of India , Maharashtra has increased its dominance among the Indian Institutes of Technology. The state ranked third this year in terms of number of students it sends to the premier institutes–up one place from 2014 .

That’s awesome news and it will certainly boost the moral of the Maharashtrian students who are preparing meticulously for admissions in the Premier institutes like IITs
