The Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) is India’s top ranked university but stands at 25 in a ranking of universities from BRICS and other emerging economies according to new data. The rankings show that India now has four universities in the top 40 – IISc, IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee and Panjab University, Chandigarh – and seven more in the top 100.
